Is this a work system, or do you own it yourself? If it is a work station then Group Policy may be interfering in this capability. Group Policy can strip a system of all sorts of features and functionality. Changing the wall paper is one of these. There are literally several hundred options to alter how users interact with XP or Vista with Group Policy.
In addition, there is another option that parents or those who provide systems for the public's use, to strip away functionality and features which I remember as the Shared Computer Toolkit, but may be now called something else. Actually, I just went and looked and this is now called SteadyState. If you are interested in it here is a link to its download page, and yes, it is free for anyone who wishes to use it as long as they have a valid copy of Windows.

To do it in vista you need to use the theme called %26quot;Windows Aero%26quot; You need a very good graphics card to turn it on and You need Vista home premium,Business or ultimate. I'm looking for a way to change the wallpaper every time I want without having to go to every computer.
Something that runs every time the pc turns on and pick the image from a shared folder, so every time I want to change it I just replace it putting a different image with the same name of the previews image.
Example:
I turn on the pc, the command runs automatically when windows starts, the command take the wallpaper from the shared folder and set it as wallpaper, the same happen every time I turn on a computer and the same happen with all the rest of the computers.
I have the idea but don't know exactly how to do it, I need heeeeeeelp.

not sure, sounds like it got deleted. but run check disk, a small chance it will help. or a recovery disk or the repair option in the windows disk. hope you ran a good spyware scanner too.

How do i unfreeze my Desktop wallpaper?
I turn my PC on and it starts loading. At one point during the process it shows the wallpaper, but then the screen changes to a solid color (the one I have chosen - I can change the color if I want to). I can not change the wallpaper either -- it will not let me access the buttons to do so.It is like my wallpaper is behind that solid color screen. I just bought a netbook and it came with Windows 7 starter as it's operating system. With the starter version apparently you are unable to change your background. I really don't want to spend $100 on the full version when all I really want is to change my background. Is there anyway for me to get around this so I could change my background? The Sims two Nightlife flashing walls on houses?
I purchased the Sims Two Double Deluxe, which comes with the Sims Two Nightlife. For some reason every time I move a family into a house the walls of the house start flashing. Not just in neighborhoods, but when they are in the house as well. I have tried going into build mode and changing wallpaper, but although it says that the paper is on the wall i cant see it. This problem usually occurs when yoour computer is very full, or alot of custom content has been download, overloading the system. This occurs often for many people, so try deleting some custom content, houses, neighbourhoods or families that are not in use, or try a better graphics card, which can be bought from any store which has computers and electronics.

How to save internet explorer desktop / wallpaper picture?
I have a picture that I found on the internet set as my wallpaper.
I now want to change the wallpaper to a new picture, however I don't think I've saved the old picture my comp, and I don't want to lose it.

If you use Windows XP, check if it's somehow in c:\Windows . You should find there more pictures and all are related to wallpaper. If not, you can check also in c:\My Documents\My Pictures
The best way is to right click on Desktop, then Properties, click on the tab Desktop. Write somewhere the name of the current picture used into Background section and use search option to find the files on your computer.
You should find it 100%.

2. If it still doesn't change check your systems anti virus /anti spyware programs options to see if there's any option that locks the wallpaper and prevents it from being changed . You may also have a wallpaper changing program installed that isn't working properly that you may need to remove.
3.Download /update and scan for spyware with malwarebytes and remove anything it finds. and then try changing the wallpaper.
4.Try right clicking on a pic in IE and clk set as background/wallpaper.
5.try downloading infranview picture viewer (free and awesome) open the pic you want then go to options/set as wallpaperget over a cheating husband white hair

What is version of your Windows 7?
If it is Starter, you cannot change background image on your desktop.
For Home, Professional and Ultimate version right-click at free space on desktop and choose Personalize then under Themes select your background image.

I got a virus that changed wallpaper to "your computer has a virus" what is it and how do i get rid of it
Just run your virus scan program and delete it from there, like Nortons or McAfee.
