My brother installed some application on our Macbook Pro, and it changes the wallpaper to some view of the Earth that has a big black shadow that moves across it. Every time I change the wallpaper back to a stationary picture, it goes back to the %26quot;Earth view%26quot; after about two minutes. Does anyone know how to permanently get rid of this wallpaper? When I right-click and select properties on my desktop, it brings up the tab which allows me to change my wallpaper. But the files are locked and I can't achually select any other graphic files to change my desktop to. If I right-click on a picture in a foler and select, 'set to background', i'm still left with a blank wallpaper. I think there is a mask over the top of my wallpaper as I can see my wallpaper when I turn the computer on and off, but once the computer is loaded, this 'mask' covers my background. Is there anyway to have my desktop wallpaper change automatically to other photos?
i recently saw a computer at work, and the wallpaper on it change to a different photo/pic every minute or two, i know it was a program my msn or windows or microsoft but i cant figure out how to do it
currently i have windows vista, not sure if that matters because the computers at work are older versions of window (xp or 2000) but i would find it cool if my background changes every once in a while insted of me doing it manually

Hi all... I'm writing to ask some computers maniacs as me for bug which will change wallpaper on Win XP. In my school all of computers are blocked, we have no permission to change wallpaper or install any program or something.. I have had this problem before. Is the box where you select your background tinted gray, and you are unable to select anything? If it is I don't know who to solve that, but if you go to where your picture is located, right-click on it and chose %26quot;Set as Background%26quot;, that should at least get your background changed.

If you really want that feature or other features, then there might be ways to get around it, but I haven't found them. Otherwise I would personally buy a better version of W7. I have Home Premium on my netbook (upgraded from XP) and it runs just fine..probably faster than XP.

Are you signed in as Admin? You should be able to go to:
Apple Logo-%26gt;System Preferences-%26gt;Desktop %26amp; Screen Saver, then click on the Desktop tab at the top.
That SHOULD take you to the %26quot;choose your desktop%26quot; screen. If not you might not be signed on as Admin and whoever does have Admin must have blocked it. Or, if you are Admin, you may just have locked that option - is there a small padlock at the bottom left of the Preference screen? If it's locked click on it, put in your Admin password, and then change the wallpaper.

you will have to SSH into it.
SSH'ing is browsing your iPod's file system. In this case, you are going to browse for the theme, and change the background.
In Cydia, install these:
OpenSSH and Automatic SSH.
On your computer install %26quot;WinSCP%26quot; (Windows) or Cyberduck (for a Mac).
Install the program, and open it. Your host name is your iPod's IP address. The username by default is %26quot;root%26quot; and the default password is %26quot;alpine%26quot;.
the file protocol is %26quot;SFTP%26quot; and you allow SCP fallback.
Browse to this folder:
/private/var/stash/Themes.xxxxxx
(the xxxxxx is different for every iPod...)
Open the folder of the Windows 7 theme.
Browse for the file that is your background. (I think it's called LockBackground.. not too sure though)
Make a backup copy of it before you make any changes.Replace it with whatever picture you want. (Might have to be in .PNG format, check what format the original is...
